— This work is inspired by Nuwa, the goddess in ancient Chinese mythology who created humankind and used five-colored stones to mend the sky damaged by war. The piece reinterprets her story of mending the sky through layered space and light. The work uses layered space, light, and form as a symphony of heaven and earth being restored. These artworks are based on techniques learned from Permew, with my own interpretation and visual development.
